Dimbulah Horse and Pony Club

Firsty, Welcome!

Dimbulah is a small community 40km west of Mareeba in Far North Queensland. Blink and you'll miss us - most likely you'll pass us on the way to Chillagoe, pushing a wheelbarrow or if you are travelling to the Gulf. Our community is built mostly on Agriculture and in the past, mining. You'd be surprised what we can grow out here - Mangoes, Citrus, Avocados, Blueberries, Tomatoes, Peanuts, Sweet Potatoes ... you name it, it's probably here. Dimbulah has all the essentials - fuel, grocer, 2 cafes, hardware, a pub...even an ATM. If you stay long enough, I think you'll find the history in this area is fascinating - we once had a train line to Irvinbank, not to mention the rich history of Mt Mulligan. We are a strong community - that love Sun, Dirt, Fun and a community event.

Our Pony Club holds 5 competitive events a year as well as training days. We'd like to think we are laid back, welcoming and a great place to come and learn. We are all about horsemanship, and have some fantastic coaches/horseman within our community. There's so many things you can do on a horse; have you tried horse sports yet?

We are working on our website to make it easier to maintain your membership, nominations and (down the track) standings each year. However, you can also catch us at the Canteen on event days if you need a hand with the admin stuff. 

We have a canteen and bar that is open on events - and this year we'll also have EFTPOS.

As we're all aware - great clubs exsist because of their volunteers - so please reach out if you can help  - we'll never say no :)
